Obituary

Mary L. Fox, 80, of Rochester, died Friday, August 6, 2021, at St. Marys Hospital.

Born, July 22, 1941, in Rushford, MN and raised in the Peterson/Arendahl area. After college, she married Robert H. Fox, of Seward, PA on July 22, 1963. Both worked for the Bureau of Naval Weapons in Washington DC. The couple moved to Rushford, MN. After divorce, Mary moved her family to Rochester, employed as an administrative assistant/payroll with Pace Dairy Foods. She loved the company and her co-workers. After retiring from Pace, she enjoyed part-time employment at JC Penney's and was an enthusiastic member of her church; she loved to sing.

Survivors include son, Todd (Lisa) Fox of Elgin; daughter, Julie (John) Craig of Rochester; daughter-in-law, Amy (Neppl) Fox of Chatfield; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister Carol (Jim) Shipman of Byron; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son, Troy Fox; and parents, Benjamin, and Evelyn Swiggum.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021 at True Life Church in Rochester with Pastor Mark Nienow officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2021 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the church. Burial will be in Arendahl Lutheran Cemetery at 2pm.
