Marjorie Jean Jobe, 91, of Rochester, MN, died Friday, January 12, 2024, at Aviva Riverbend Memory Care Facility.

Marjorie was born on October 31, 1932, in Owatonna, MN to Clinton and Irene (Kenyon) Riddle. She graduated from Owatonna High School in 1950. On October 15, 1950, she married Lester L. Jobe in Owatonna, MN. The couple lived in Rochester since 1957. She worked as an admission clerk at The Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN for 38 years.

She loved horseback riding, taking care of her cats, and playing card games. She was an avid reader, having read literally thousands of books.

She is survived by her sons, Lyle Jobe of Lake Oswego, OR, and Larry Jobe of Faribault, MN; and two grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband and three sisters.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Macken Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.

Memorials are preferred to the Paws and Claws Humane Society in Rochester, MN.
