Marianne (Closner) Buss, 88, of Rochester, died Friday, August 13,2021 at home.

Marianne was born June 25, 1933 in Pine Island, MN to Paul and Louis (Schiesser) Closner. She graduated from Pine Island High School. On June 3, 1955, she married Roy E. Buss. Who died June 3, 1994. She worked at the Kahler Hotel where she met her husband. Later on she became an in home day care provider for over 40 years and retired at the age of 80. She loved reading, gardening, and letter writing.

She is survived by her daughter Sheila Buss of Rochester, MN, her grand dog Lady, and her niece Jeanne Postier of Pine Island, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, brother, and her parents.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Christ United Methodist Church in Rochester, MN with a visitation one our prior to the service.

Christ United Methodist requires all in attendance to wear a mask.
