Margaret "Mugs" Jean
Adams
Jul 30, 1958 — Sep 27, 2026
Stillwater, MN
Margaret “Mugs” Jean Adams, 68, of Stillwater, MN, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026, in the hospital at Mayo in Rochester, MN. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, and she will be deeply missed.
Born on July 30, 1958, in St. Paul, MN, Mugs was the youngest of 6 children born to Ralph Milo Langness and Marie (Neidermire) Langness Grenz. Mugs dedicated her life to her family and her work within the hospital setting. She married David Irving Adams on July 11, 1987, in Juneau, AK. They had met the year prior in a singing Christmas Tree at church! They welcomed daughter Sarah Joy Adams on February 17, 1989. A few years later they relocated to Maplewood, MN where Mugs worked in the quality department at Shriner’s Hospital for Children. In early 2000, Mugs transferred to Shriner’s in Honolulu, HI where they lived until 2010. Upon returning to MN, Mugs spent the last years of her career as Quality Director at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater.
Her deep faith in Jesus Christ touched many. As one of her dear friends said, “We will never know until we get to heaven how God used Mugs in her work, friends, and family to touch lives for God.”
Mugs is survived by her husband David; daughter Sarah; stepson Daniel Adams (James Ciari); stepdaughter Charise Woodall (Adam); step-grandchildren Destiny & Noella; siblings Mary Stream, Madelynn Haumschild (Robert), Maxine Proetz (Edward), Michael Langness (Nancy), Marceil Koren. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepson Mark Adams.
The family is planning a celebration of Mugs’ life for April 2027. We invite all who knew and loved her to celebrate her life with us. Details to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mugs’ memory to Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch. Donations can be sent to 7291 County Rd 6 SW Stewartville, MN 55976.
