The funeral for Margaret A. "Bonnie" Bogan will be 11:00am Thursday, December 16, at the Macken Funeral Home's new River Park Chapel. Officiating  will be Pastor Deanna Woodward of Peace United Methodist Church of Elgin. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday at the River Park Chapel and one hour prior to the service.

Bonnie, 67, of Elgin, MN died Monday, December 13, 2010 at her home of complications from prior health issues. She was born May 13, 1943 in Rochester to Mark and Margaret Boardman.  She was first married to Bill Doherty who was later killed in an auto accident and then in 1987 she married Donald Bogan and he later passed away on January 9th 1990.  Bonnie was employed many years for Guest House and later Midwest Nail of Chester, retiring when her health began to decline. Bonnie is survived by her brother, Dennis M. (Judy) Boardman of Peterson, MN; nieces and nephews, Cathy (Bob) Crary, Kent (Laurie) Boardman, Melissa (Todd) Cutting, Tim (Allison) Boardman, Mark (Dawn) Schlief, David Schlief, Janette Hanke,  Laurie (Craig) Benjamin, Bob Schlief, and Debbie Rabehl.

She enjoyed watching classic movies, doing puzzles and going to the casino. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers ,2 sisters, both husbands and 2 sons, James and Patrick Doherty.
