Marcia Jean Decker, beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and friend quietly slipped away unexpectedly Saturday August 15, 2009 at Saint Mary's Hospital, surrounded by her family. Marcia was born to Harold and Lois Wallace November 14, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa. She is survived by Robert Decker, her loving husband of 42 wonderful years; parents Harold and Lois Wallace of Rochester, MN.; brother Mark (Kathy) Wallace of Albuquerque,  NM.; Daughters Lori (Andy) Callier, Rochester, MN; Julie (Ed) Ware, Norfolk, Va.; Grandchildren Abby Shepler and Michael Callier.

Marcia attended Urbandale High School and was a graduate of the Des Moines School of Nursing. She enjoyed taking care of everyone and always putting their needs ahead of her own. Marcia will always be remembered for her love of family, cooking, playing cards, drinking her Pepsi and watching Jeopardy every night.  Even in death, Marcia was able to give back life by donating through LifeSource so others may be blessed with her generosity.

A celebration of Marcia's life will be held at Macken Funeral Home on Friday August 21, 2009 from 11:00 – 1:00 pm.
