The visitation for Lynn Marie Tompkins will be from 11:00AM to 3:00PM Saturday, February 18, 2017 in River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home.

Lynn Tompkins, 59, of Kasson, died Monday, February 13, 2017 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Lynn was born December 4, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan to Charles and Dorothy "Jean" (Measel) Peters. She graduated from Byron High School in 1976. On August 27, 1977, she married Dana Tompkins in Byron and they later divorced. She worked as an accountant for several different businesses.

In her free time, she liked to garden, cook, and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Chris Tompkins, of Pineville, LA; granddaughter, Annalyse; her father, Charles Peters and step-mother Carol Peters; two brothers, Steven (Patty) Peters, of Lakeville, MN, and Timothy (Paula) Peters, of Rochester, MN; her long-time significant other, Bruce McGowan, of Kasson, and his children, Sean McGowan, Patrick (Andrea) McGowan, and Katie McGowan, and his grandchildren, Cole, Carmen, Marcus, Liam, and Daniel. Lynn was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy "Jean" Peters.

Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Hospital.
