Lucy, loving mom, grandma and great grandma, passed away peacefully at age 73 on February 15, 2017 surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's dementia. Lucy was born on April 7, 1943 in Austin, MN to Leonard and Ruby (Nagel) Anderson. She graduated from Austin High School in 1961. She moved to Rochester at age eighteen. It was there that she met James "Jim" Noble. They were married on October 16, 1964. Jim passed away on November 4, 1999. Lucy had most recently resided in the Loving Connections Memory Care Unit at River Bend in Rochester and prior to that in assisted living at Shorewood Senior Campus.
Lucy was employed by Rochester Public Schools for a number of years and then at Charter House in food service and in the Corner Cupboard from 1985 until her retirement in about 2003. After her retirement, she volunteered at Hope Lodge and enjoyed making cookies to drop off at the Ronald McDonald House. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends who she cherished dearly.
Survivors include her children, Debra (Thomas) Moran and Christopher Noble of Rochester and Todd (Dana) Noble of Emily, MN; grandchildren, McKynna, Brady and Alex Moran, Carissa (Eliot) Bublitz and Cody Noble; and great granddaughter Olivia Bublitz. She is also survived by her brother, Jerald (Myla) Anderson and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association, Hope Lodge of Rochester or Christ Lutheran Church –Rochester.
A special thanks to the loving caregivers at River Bend Loving Connections Memory Care Unit and Mayo Hospice.
