The funeral for Lois Mae Harvey will be held on at 12:00pm on Tuesday May 1, 2012 at River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home in Rochester with Rev. Linda Helberg officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.  Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Lois Mae Harvey, age 96 of Rochester, passed away April 26, 2012 at Madonna Towers Nursing Care.

She was born Lois Mae Sawyer on July 1, 1915 in Elgin, MN.  Lois graduated from Elgin High School.  She married Howard Harvey in 1933.  They farmed until 1955 then moved to Rochester where she worked at St. Marys Hospital in the lab then later for Peoples Natural Gas Company.  They spent winters in Texas and summers on Lake Kabatogoma.  She loved playing bingo and going to Texas.

She is survived by her daughter LaVonne Brown; sister-in-law Wilma Sawyer; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren and seventeen great-great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband Howard who died in 1986; two daughters and three grandsons.

The family prefers memorials be made to Madonna Towers Nursing Home.
