Linda
Rueb
July 28, 1948 – October 6, 2021
Mrs. Linda Sue Rueb, 73, of Rochester, Minnesota, died peacefully in her sleep of natural causes at the St. Marys hospital campus of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She was born on July 28, 1948, in Preston, Minnesota to Wayne and Eunice (Grabau) Scheevel.
She spent most of her school years at St. John's Lutheran Church and School in Wycoff and then graduated from the Wycoff High School in 1966. She was married to Robert "Bob" Rueb on January 2, 1971, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wycoff, Minnesota. They made their home in Rochester, Minnesota. Linda worked for IBM making internal computer parts, until her retirement in 2002.
In her retirement years, she enjoyed spending time up north, especially fishing, buying spring flowers for her yard, watching and shopping on QVC, talking on the phone with her friends and family (where she was last to know anything and told everyone everything she knew). The last 15 years were made better by the constant companionship of her Shih Tzu/Bichon mixed dog, named Bandit.
Survivors include her mother, Eunice Thompson of Spring Valley, MN; a brother, Gary (Jean) Scheevel of Outing, MN; loving and kind husband, Bob Rueb of Rochester, Minnesota; sons, Brent (Stephanie) Rueb of Pine Island, Minnesota and Eric Rueb of Rochester, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Kirsten Rueb of Kasson, Minnesota, Clayton Rueb of Rochester, Minnesota, Owen Rueb of Pine Island, Minnesota and Bella Rueb of Pine Island, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by a son, her father, her stepfather, two sister-in laws, and many aunts and uncles.
There will be a casual open house in honor of Linda and her life on October 14, 2021, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Linda chose to be cremated and there will be a private burial, at a future date.
