Obituary

Lillian E Hallman, 97, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at the Stewartville Care Center.

Lillian Elda Reineke, daughter of Gustave and Minnie (Bauer) Reineke, was born on July 24, 1915, in Faribault MN.  Lillian attended county school in Cannon City Township, Rice County, and graduated from Faribault High School in 1933.  She married Lynn G Hallman on November 23, 1935.  They made their home in Minneapolis until moving to Rochester in 1957 when they purchased the Town and Country Motel, which they owned and operated for 14 years.  Lillian also owned and operated the Broadway Cafe for nine years before retiring.  Lillian loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Gary (Jill) Hallman, grandchildren Matthew (Sara) Hallman, Sommer (Tim) Voyna, Eunice (Corey) Griffin, Ethan Kruger, and Carl Kruger, and son-in-law Jon Kruger.  She was also survived by six great-grandchildren Deion, Zion, Liliana, Bentley, Aidyn, and Alivya.

Lillian is preceded in death by her husband Lynn, daughter Barbara Kruger, her parents, and three brothers Gordon, Donald, and Melvin Reineke.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday August 4, 2012, at the River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home in Rochester with Pastor Anjanette Bandel officiating.  Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home.
