Lauri Lee Andrist, 54, of Rochester, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012 at her home after an eight year battle of cancer.

The memorial service for Lauri Andrist will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 10, 2012 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, with the Pastor Linda Helberg officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Macken Funeral Home.

Lauri was born on November 8, 1957 in Rochester, Minnesota to Irvin and Beverly (Watson) Hetletvedt.  She graduated from Mayo High School.  Lauri married Dan Andrist on January 27, 1990 in Stewartville, Minnesota.  She worked in the dry cleaning business, housekeeping and as a home health aid.

Lauri is survived by her husband, Dan Andrist of Rochester; daughter, Ashley Andrist of Rochester; stepson, Guy (Genia) Andrist of Chester, MN; two grandchildren, Willow and Wyatt; brother, Jeff (Carmen) Hetletvedt and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mitzi.

Lauri was a devoted wife and mother.  She was an avid pool player. Lauri was also a breast cancer survivor for many years.  She enjoyed camping, tubing, reading, working as a home health professional, playing on the pool league, rummage sales, spending time with friends, family and her Yorkie named "Beau".
