Laetitia Ezekwem, 72, of Rochester, passed away peacefully at her home after a lengthy illness on Sunday, September 24, 2023.

Laetitia was born January 10, 1951 in Awo-Omamma Imo-state, Nigeria, the daughter of Nwaokorie and Agunanne Okoro. On March 5, 1982 she married Vitalis Ezekwem. In 1984, Laetitia and Vitalis moved to the United States, where Laetitia would continue her education at Winona State University for teaching. She worked for the Kahler before going to work at The Mayo Clinic in surgical core, housekeeping and finally becoming a PCA. Laetitia worked for Mayo for 38 years up until recently when she no longer felt well enough. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking and watching her favorite soap operas. Laetitia was a huge Minnesota Vikings fan, was a woman of strong Christian faith and loved attending church every Sunday. She was caring, loving and was always able to make others laugh and smile with her comedic sense of humor.

Laetitia is survived by her husband of 41 years, Vitalis; daughter, Laevita Ezekwem (fiancé, Kevin Gionis); son Victor Ezekwem and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 1 brother.

Laetitia will be laid to rest in her home country of Nigeria.
