Kris began his education at Deephaven Elementary School followed by TASIS in England and the Anglo American School of Moscow in Russia where he graduated with an International Baccalaureate diploma. He continued his studies at Bates College and Strayer University, earning both a BA and an MBA.
Kris moved to Rochester in 2003. He initially worked for HyVee before entering a management program at Mayo Clinic in 2006. He was passionate about helping individuals and families struggling with mental illness.
Kris' other loves included his beloved English bulldog Sophia, friends, family, airplanes, travel, musicals, Christmas, European and Russian history and art.
Survivors include his parents, Eivind and Gwenn Djupedal of Santa Fe, NM; his sister, Jenny of St. Louis Park, MN, his English bulldog, Sophia, his uncle and three cousins in Norway, his cousin in Colorado and many other family members and friends throughout the world.
For those of us who knew Kris, we will always remember his gentle smile and his infectious laughter.
