Kip Allen Meredith, 73, of Rochester, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Kip was born November 8, 1950, in Rochester to Harold and Bonnie (Michelson) Meredith. He was a graduate of John Marshall High School. After graduation he joined the US Army, serving in Vietnam. Kip was honorably discharged in November 1971. He met Gretchen in 1972, they were married May 24, 1974, at St. Bridget's Church in Simpson.

Kip had a love for farming, which we can blame on his grandparents. He continued farming both livestock and crops, while working full-time at Model Laundry, and as a maintenance worker for Meadow Park Apartments and Holiday Inn South.

He always enjoyed spending time with his family, talking to anyone who would listen, reading and planting a garden.

He is survived by his wife, Gretchen, daughter Kate, son, John (Stephanie), and granddaughter Kaylin, the apple of his eye.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
