Kimberly K. Burke, age 31, of Rochester passed away on Friday, August 07, 2009 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born on August 26, 1977 in Hampton, IA. She attended Hampton High School, and went on to Minnesota State Mankato, and Iowa State. She married Courtney Burke on August 3, 2002 in Geneva, IA. Afterward the couple moved to Rochester.

Survivors include her husband, and her daughter, Rory of Rochester.  Her parents: Ronald J. and Sandra Sailer of Geneva, IA. Mother and father-in-laws: Kathy and Jay Burke. Sisters: Kelly (Michael) Mitchell of New Sharon, IA; Katie (Rob) Borcherding of Maple Grove, MN; A brother: Kris (Ashley) of Hampton, IA. A nephew: Kincaid Mitchell. A grandmother: Anita Brass of Iowa Falls. Grandfather: Jacob Sailer of Hampton, IA. She is preceded in death by a grandfather and a grandmother. Kimberly worked for JC Penney's for 10 years. She loved to read but above all she loved her family.

There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 2:00pm at St. Peter's UCC Church in rural Geneva IA. with Pastor Phil Milam officiating. A memorial service is planned for 12:00pm at Macken Funeral Home on Saturday, August 15, 2009 in Rochester.
