Obituary

Kelly Joseph Haen was born July 29, 1961, to William "Bill" and Florence (Jansen) Haen in Rochester, MN on his Grandpa Lawrence's birthday.

Kelly enjoyed rides in the van to and from Possabilities and on the many outings they did at Arbor House.  A couple of his favorite trips were to Vikings training camps and Minnesota Twins baseball games.  Kelly loved the Twins and added his two cents to the end of the anthem whenever he heard it, "Here's to the Minnesota Twins today!" Kelly would say in his special way, "Today!"

Kelly also enjoyed listening to music.  A couple of his favorite songs were "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head" and "Rhinestone Cowboy." Florence sang to Kelly all the time.  They had an endearing banter where she would sing or say something to him, and he would respond as only she and those who were closest to him could understand.

He is survived by his loving mother, Florence, sister, Robin (Scott) Robbins and brother, Scott Haen.  Additional survivors are his nephew, Alec (Chelsea), Elliana, Ryder, and niece Sara (Dane Anderson), aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Kelly was preceded in death by his father, Bill Haen and infant brother, Brian.  His maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Agnes (Miller) Jansen and paternal grandparents George and Pearl (O'Connor) Haen, uncles Paul and Chuck Jansen and Bob and Tom Haen and Aunt Carolyn Jansen.

The Haen Family would like to extend their appreciation for the compassionate and loving care of Kelly from the staff at Hiawatha Homes-Arbor House, Possabilities and Dr. Thomas Poterucha of the Mayo Clinic.
