Keith
Kramlinger
February 19, 2025 – February 19, 2025
Keith Gregory Kramlinger, M.D., age 69, died in the arms of his loved ones on February 19th, 2025. Loving husband and father.
Keith was born in St. Paul, MN to parents Gregory and Helen (Gormley) Kramlinger.
He attended St. Thomas Academy, the University of St. Thomas, and Mayo Medical School. After completing his residency in psychiatry at Mayo Clinic in 1985, he spent two years in Bethesda, MD at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) conducting research on bipolar disorder. He came back to Rochester, MN in 1987 and spent the rest of his career as a consultant in Mayo Clinic's Department of Psychiatry and Psychology.
During his retirement, he enjoyed reading widely, learning jazz guitar, walking his dog, and staying abreast of the latest adaptive technology. He was most content sitting outside with his family, drinking a cold iced tea on a warm, sunny day.
Keith was known for his resilience, endless curiosity, and steadiness. He will be remembered by those who knew him for never letting limitations get in the way of living a full and loving life. He led by example in every way, and will be deeply, deeply missed.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Anne Marie, their daughter Isabel, and his best friend, his guide dog Triumph.
A time to gather for family and friends will occur on Saturday, March 22nd from 2-4pm in the River Park Reception Hall at Macken Funeral Home. A private interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be sent to Guide Dogs for the Blind or a charity of their choice.
