Kathryn Helen Pugnier, age 96 of Rochester, passed away on May 13, 2013 at St. Marys Hospital.

Kathryn Helen Hitchcock was born on January 24, 1917 in Minneapolis, MN to Glenn and Helen Hitchcock.  She grew up in Glendive, Montana where her father was a rancher and Under-Sheriff.  Following high school in Montana, she graduated with a BS degree in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin at Superior.  In December of 1944, she married Dr. Vincent Allen Pugnier in the Twin Cities.  Kathryn then received a Master's degree from Arizona State University in Education and taught elementary education throughout the United States for fifteen years.  In her later years, she lived in Rochester to be closer to her family.  Kathryn was a loving, kind, and compassionate person who loved teaching and helping others.

She is survived by her son Vincent of Rochester.

She is preceded in death by her husband Vincent (1990) and a brother Wayne (1997).

A funeral service for Kathryn will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church in Rochester with Pastor Dwight  LaPine officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Mesa, Arizona.
