Katherine "Cathy" Lee (Olsen) Palmer, 83, of Rochester, MN, died Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Marys Campus.

Katherine Lee Olsen was born along with twin sister Karen Marie on December 23, 1941.  She was raised in Albert Lea by Harold and Lillian (Horning) Olsen.  After marrying Erwin Palmer, the couple moved to Rochester in 1960.

Cathy loved to sing.  She was involved with the church choir and Sweet Adelines.  She was also a Red Hat and long-time member of the Does.

Cathy is survived by her special friend, John; sons, Jim (Roxanne) and Brian; and granddaughters, Caitlin and Chelsea.  She is preceded in death by her parents, sister and husband.

The family would like to express our gratitude to the staff on St. Marys – Mary Brigh 6B, and 4 Domitilla for Cathy's care and comfort these last weeks.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2025 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Rev. Jenny Cannon officiating.  Visitation will he held one hour prior to the service on Friday.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.
