The funeral service for Julia Eleanor Boynton Jones will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the Resurrection Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Loomis officiating.

Mrs. Jones, 80, of Rochester, died Saturday (February 27) at the Homestead in Rochester after a long illness.  She was born July 10, 1929, in Milwaukee, WI.  Her former places of residence include: Oconomowoc, WI; St. Louis, MO; and Milwaukee, WI.  Julia married Dumont Louis Jones in 1951.  She was a homemaker and she enjoyed gardening and summer trips to Evergreen Lodge in Vilas County, WI.

Survivors include three sons, Christopher (April) Jones of Rochester, MN; Philip (Courtney) Deines-Jones of Silver Spring, MD; and Dumont (Joan Muellerleile) Jones of Columbus, OH.  Other survivors include four grandchildren, Carolyn, Belisario, Stefan, and Ari Jones.  Julia was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, Chester Boynton.

Friends may call starting at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Resurrection Catholic Church.
