Joshua Christopher Loftus, 17, of Rochester, MN unexpectedly passed away on Monday, the 13th of October, 2014.  Josh was born in Rochester on December 3rd, 1996, to Patricia (Flink) and Jeffrey Loftus.  He was the eldest of four brothers, and was both a mentor and dear friend to Jacob, Jackson and Gabriel.  Josh had a big heart and deep convictions aligned with an uncommon level of consideration for his friends, family and fellow man.

Josh will be dearly missed by his parents, Tricia and Jeff, his three brothers, Jacob and Jackson Loftus and Gabriel Lopez, his grandparents, Jan and Harley Flink (Rochester) and Bonnie and Chuck Loftus (Stewartville), and cousins, aunts, uncles and friends too numerous to list.

Friends and family are invited to take part in a visitation at the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home on Monday, October 20th, 2014 from 5pm to 6pm.  A Celebration of Life will follow (also at the River Park Chapel) with friends and family encouraged to share fond memories of our Josh.

Josh has left us far too soon, but we are so grateful for the happiness he brought to our lives.  Josh loved his cat Shadow and his dogs Kita, Max, and Cody who were all adopted from the Rochester Animal Control Shelter.  We can think of no more fitting group to designate for memorials in Josh's honor than the Rochester Animal Control Shelter.
