Obituary

Joseph "Joe" John Cunderla of Rochester, Minnesota died Saturday October 9, 2021 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester. He was born May 24, 1936 to Joseph Paul and Mary Cunderla. On September 15, 1962 he married Peggy Curtin. They had two children, Maria Hoover of Lemoore, California, and Joseph Anthony Cunderla (deceased).

Joe graduated from Rochester High School in 1955. He enlisted in the Air Force on February 16, 1956. He graduated from Electronics Fuel Control Repairman school on October 9, 1956. He tied his own fishing flies and made his own lures. He hunted with rifle and bow. After his leg injury he took up wood carving. In the last years of his life he joined the Rochester Woodcarvers.

Joe was a man of many talents. He and Peggy travelled around the world including Japan, Europe, the United States, and Ireland. Joe especially enjoyed their trip to his parents' birthplace, Czechoslovakia.
