Johnathan F.
Weivoda
September 5, 1989 – July 6, 2015
Johnathan Francis Weivoda was too soon taken from his family on Monday, July 6, 2015.
Johnathan was born to Terrence A. and Peggy L. (Olson) Weivoda of Chatfield, Minnesota on September 5, 1989. He attended school in Chatfield, Minnesota and graduated from Chosen Valley High School in Chatfield on June 1, 2008. John briefly attended the nursing program at RCTC in Rochester, but chose a different career path and became a professional flooring installer — a profession he enjoyed and in which he took great pride.
For those who knew and loved Johnathan, his smile, his loving and caring nature, his willingness to help and take care of others will always define who he was. His struggles were known to many, but his triumph over them will remain a blessing to all who loved him as we carry on without him. Johnathan loved life — the outdoors, fishing, golfing, sports, skateboarding, music, art, and snowmobiling around Wisconsin and Minnesota with his dad. He loved his family most of all. One bright light has gone out for us all.
Johnathan is survived by his parents, his brother Andrew C. Weivoda of Chatfield, and his paternal grandmother, Mary L. (Campion) Weivoda of Chatfield. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Arnold C. Weivoda of Chatfield; his maternal grandparents Howard and Joan (Fix) Olson of Dover, Minnesota, and his uncle Michael F. Weivoda of Rochester, Minnesota.
A visitation will take place on Saturday, July 11 th , from 10:00 am to noon at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Rochester, Minnesota, followed by a funeral Mass with Rev. Thomas Loomis officiating. A private burial service will be held at St. Bridget's Cemetery in Simpson, Minnesota at a later date. The family requests donations in lieu of flowers. Donations will be dispersed to charities which impacted Johnathan's life.
Macken Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences are welcome at www.mackenfuneralhome.com
