The funeral for John F. Stellmaker will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday (May 24) at Marion Church of Christ in Marion, with the Pastor Vern Harris officiating.  Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.

Mr. Stellmaker, 91, of Shoreview, Minn., formerly of Rochester, died Tuesday (May 18, 2010) at his residence.

John was born December 29, 1918 in St. Charles, MN.  On October 7, 1940 he married Lois L. Harrison at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.  The couple lived in Rochester until 1987, when they moved to Mesa, Ariz.  In 1998 they moved to Spring Lake Park.  In 2003, John moved to Shoreview, Minn. after the passing of his wife.

John worked as a mechanic for Harold's Auto Electric.

Survivors include his two daughters, Sharon Bendelow of Shoreview, Minn., and Barbara (Gary) Ellingson of LaBolt, SD., a son, Robert of Las Vegas, Nev.; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.  John was preceded in death by his wife, one sister and one granddaughter.

Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Memorials will be given to the Healtheast Hospice of St. Paul, MN.
