Joan Sudman, 88, died Sunday, April 14, 2019, in Hayfield, Minnesota at Field Crest Care Center. She was preceded in death by beloved husband, Owen and leaves behind her daughter, Ruthann and husband Dan Toft; brothers, Bernard Dreiling and  Reuben (Edith) Dreiling.

Born in Victoria, Kansas, Joan was filled with wanderlust that led her to pursue higher education at the College of Saint Scholastica in Minnesota and the University of Michigan. Following graduation, she pursued a career in music education which led her to Wyoming and back to Michigan where she taught grade school music in Allen Park. Her fondest memories were of preparing for and presenting Christmas concerts with her students.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated in memory of Joan at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April, 17, 2019 at Church of the Resurrection in Rochester, Minnesota. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass. Fellowship and refreshments will follow.
