Jenna Marie Delaney, age 42, of Rochester, MN, passed away on July 2, 2026.

Jenna was born on May 4, 1984, in Rochester, MN, to Richard and Patricia (Ferguson) Delaney. Jenna lived a care-free life, focusing on only the things that matter. She was a responsible and uncompromising daughter who dedicated her adult life to taking care of her parents. She, and her beloved spouse Jason, lived next door and had a regular routine of checking in on them multiple times daily. She was a caring sister who looked after her sibling and made sure she had everything they needed. She was a proud aunt and great aunt who would often treat her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. Jenna was the poster child of kindness. She was selfless in every facet of her life and never missed an opportunity to make someone happy, even if it was just to make them smile.

Jenna graduated from Mayo High School and spent a considerable amount of time working in industries where she would be able to have an impact on people’s lives.

Jenna will forever be remembered by her father, Richard Delaney; her sister, Angie Delaney; her niece, Mckayla Delaney (and her fiancée Matt Hendrix); her great-nieces, Serenity and Octavia; her great nephews, Theodore and Eden; her “never-stops-barking until you pet me” fur baby Luna; and her everything other half, Jason Peaslee.

She found joy in the most basic of things and would spread that joy around to anyone she encountered. Jenna loved to explore and travel. She spent her leisure days, usually riding shotgun, on the many road trips she took with her lifelong partner and soulmate, Jason. Together, her and Jason shared countless hours, sitting side-by-side, on the literal and figurative journeys they took together through life. Jenna and Jason loved to visit antique and thrift stores. They were the literal definition of treasure hunters and collectors. Jenna and Jason were like the plant whisperers; if it had roots, they could make it grow, just like their love for each other, which never stopped growing.

Jenna was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Delaney; her maternal grandparents, James and Geraldine Ferguson; her paternal grandparents, J. Lyman and Eileen Delaney; her uncle, Robert Delaney, her cousins, Butch, Devin, and Ben; and her most beloved other fur babies, Dottie and Moomoo.

Jenna will leave a legacy of loving partner and caretaker of all. She was the most consistent and reasonable force in the lives of those she affected. Jenna was the one who made sure Mom and Dad were doing okay. Jenna was the one who made sure Jason wasn’t eating too many sweets. Jenna was the one who made sure her sister, niece & great nieces, and nephews had an ear to talk to and a shoulder to cry on. Jenna was always the one who made it known that her heart would never run out of space and the love she had to give came with free refills.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, July 19, 2026, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
