Mr. Jeffrey Thompson, 61, of Rochester, MN died Sunday, February 11, 2018 at St. Marys Hospital with his loving family by his side.

The funeral for Jeff will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2018 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18th in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Jeff was born February 5, 1957 in Rochester to Grace and Eugene Thompson. Jeff graduated from Mayo High School, the University of Minnesota and Hamline Law School. He met Cyndy Tousignant while attending the U of M and they were married in 1981. After graduating from law school, they moved to Rochester where they began their family and his career as an attorney. Jeff was passionate about practicing law. He also served as a County Commissioner for eight years. Jeff was a member of Rochester's Sertoma Club. He was an avid fan of the MN Twins and had an impressive collection of Twins memorabilia. Jeff was truly a people person and he was known for having a big heart.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cyndy; and their children, Andrew, Jonny, Michael, and Christina all of Rochester; his sisters, Sandy Nelson (Jerry), Janice Gates (Terry) and Lori Lhotka (Dale); five nieces and nephews; and three great-nieces and great-nephews.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Grace and Eugene; and his nephew, Christopher Nelson.
