Jeanette Marie Meyer, 87 of Rochester, passed away on May 12, 2018 at Cottagewood Senior Community.

Jeanette Marie Schaeffer was born on March 26, 1931 in Omaha, Nebraska. She married Francis Meyer on October 14, 1950 and moved to Minnesota in the early 1960's with her family.

Jeanette worked at St. Marys Hospital for most of her life until her first grandchild was born, when she began doing daycare. She enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening, crocheting, and spending time with her family. Jeanette was always on the move.

She is survived by her daughters Susan (Jeff) Smith of Thornton, CO, Becky (Steve) Gandel of Rochester; sons Tim Meyer of Rochester and Mark (Mary) Meyer of Eyota; six grandchildren  Jessica Jones, Joshua (Andrea) Dahle, Kyle Smith, Hannah Smith, Rylee Meyer, Isaac Meyer; and four great-grandchildren Caylee Meier, Casey Jones, Payton Dahle, and Hendrix Dahle.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, and a brother.

The Memorial Service for Jeanette will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11:00AM in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel. A rosary will be prayed starting at 10:00AM in the chapel at the start of the visitation. A private family burial of her ashes will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rochester.
