Janet Swanson, age, 69, of Rochester, Minnesota passed away peacefully at Pine Haven Community on April 22, 2024.

Janet was born August 10, 1954 to Kenneth and Irenaea (Dandalet) Wedding in Austin, MN. She graduated from Pacelli High School in 1972 and later moved to Rochester and received her Administrative Degree from RCTC.

Janet enjoyed golfing, boating, traveling, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. She was a dedicated Vikings fan and had much love for Iowa State and University of Minnesota Football and Basketball.

Janet is survived by her children Kelly (Darin) Christofferson of Rochester, Peter Swanson of St. Louis Park, and Kyle Swanson of Rochester; her grandchildren Daycie Dolan, Elizabeth and Emma Christofferson and Kayden Knutson; her siblings Jim (Lynne) Wedding, Jeanne Butler, Julie (Bruce) VanderHaar, Jerre Gold and Joe Wedding; and many nieces and nephews.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Kirsten Drewlow, and her brother John Wedding.

The family will hold a private service for her, and a celebration of life has yet to be determined.
