James "Jim" R. Roberts of Rochester, MN passed away on May 25, 2026.

He was born February 16, 1933, in Ostrander, MN. He graduated from Spring Valley, MN in 1951. He attended Rochester Junior College. He was a Korean War Veteran and achieved the rank of Corporal. He was a member of the American Legion Post #92. He retired from IBM in 1990.

He is survived by his wife, Jo, whom he married on April 7, 1958; his 5 children, James W. Roberts (Cindy), Pamela A. Rodriguez (Julio), Peggy M. Perschbacher (Russ), Christine E. Lokhorst (Mark), Joseph W. Roberts (Aimee); 9 grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy (Marykaye), James Roberts, Rachel (Jordan) Bakke and Brenna (Marcus) Stalsberg, Johannah Lokhorst and Jay Lokhorst, Alexander (Ally) Roberts and Anthony Roberts; and 7 great-grandchildren, Doxidium, Roarke, Sephra, and Aabrekk Bakke, Nora Jo, Adalee and Carrie Stalsberg; also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and many special dear friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, William and Luella Roberts, brother William (Wanda) Roberts; 2 sisters Gloria (Dick) Sheldon and Ethelyn (Bob) Johnson.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Ronald McDonald House or Tunnels to Towers Foundation to help injured and homeless vets and first responders (T2T.org).
