James J. "Jim" LeBeau, age 75, died unexpectedly at his rural Elgin home on Sunday, September 6, 2009.

A funeral service for Mr. LeBeau will be held at 10:30AM Thursday, September 10 ^th at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester with Rev. Nicklas A. Mezacapa officiating.  Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.  Burial will follow at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

He was born to Earl and Martha LeBeau on July 11, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois.  Following his military service in the Navy, he was employed by IBM for 34 years.

Mr. LeBeau is survived by his wife Carol of 51 years, their two sons, Bradley and Christopher (Nancy) LeBeau; a daughter, Anastasia (Jeffrey) Scheel; his mother, Martha LeBeau; 9 grandchildren, Ryan, Travis, Brandon, Andrew, Jazmyne, Autumn and Tristen LeBeau, and Alexander and Nicholas Scheel.  His brother Albert also survives.  He was preceded in death by his father Earl and one granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Multiple Sclerosis Society of Minnesota or Paralyzed Veterans of Minnesota.
