Obituary

The funeral Mass for James "Jim" W. Barry will be at 10:30a.m. Friday February 24, 2012 at Church of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Rochester with Rev. Msgr. Gerald Mahon officiating.  A visitation will be held from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. at River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home Thursday evening  and from 10:00a.m. to 10:30a.m. at the church on Friday.

Mr. Barry, 66, of Rochester passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday February 20, 2012.

James Willard Barry was born on April 5 th , 1945 to R. James and Lee (Mott) Barry in St. Louis, Missouri.  In 1976 he married Mary "Leanne" Minor in Nashua, Iowa.  Jim currently worked at Home Depot in Rochester as a master plumber.  He was a proud member of the Exchange Club and W.N.B.A.  He loved traveling and spending time with his friends and family.  Jim was an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his wife Leanne; his children James Lester Barry of Washington and his daughter Laura L. (Brad) Donovan of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren Taylor and Mason Barry; one sister Linda (Bill) Arendt of Wabasha.  He is preceded in death by his parents and one nephew Christopher Arendt.
