James Grant, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away at age 66 peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.

James was born July 25, 1957, in Lanesboro, MN, to Orlean and Clarice (Peterson) Grant. James was a 1975 graduate from Preston, MN. He then moved to Rochester, MN, where he started his career as an autobody technician. For the past 43 years, he has worked for Ford Motor Cars (Rochester Ford).On November 19, 1983, James married Theresa Crowley at St. Pius X in Rochester, MN.

James enjoyed spending time in his garage tinkering with his tools, motorcycle, or woodworking. Many times, you would find family and friends sitting in front of the garage enjoying conversation and laughs while listening to music. If he wasn't in his garage, James enjoyed traveling with his wife and family. Among his travels, he enjoyed road trips across the USA and many trips to Hawaii, one of his favorite destinations. His family was his pride and joy. Some of his happiest moments were spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored.

He will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Grant (Crowley) of Rochester, MN; his daughter Trisha Wulff of Winter Park, FL, and her husband, Mitchell, and two children, Grant and Emma; his daughter Sarah Schneider of Deforest, WI, and her husband, Joe, and two children, Claire and Justin; his daughter Michelle Grant of Rochester, MN; his step-son Mark Maranell of Howards Grove, WI, and his wife Heidi, and three children, Eden, Carter, and Delaney; his three sisters, Ruth-Marie, Judy, and Barbara; his four brothers, Jerome, Keith, Kevin, and Mervin.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Orlean and Clarice and his brother, Stephen.

The Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral with David Grant officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 in the River Park Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Memorials are preferred to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Mayo Clinic Hospice .
