Jacqueline Margaret Conrad, 81, of Rochester, MN passed peacefully at her home at Meadow Lakes Senior Living on Friday morning, September 6 ^th , 2024.

Jackie was born in Little Chute, WI on November 3 ^rd , 1942, to Paul and Ethel Hietpas. She attended St. John Nepomucene Catholic School and University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She began her career teaching in a one-room school, later moving to the new elementary school in Freedom, WI, until she crossed paths with a handsome military man who swept her off her feet. Jackie married Lotus L. Conrad on June 10 ^th , 1967, at St. John Nepomucene. The couple moved to Kasson, MN, and later Rochester, MN where she was a devoted homemaker/stay-at-home mom. Jackie was a dedicated volunteer for St. Pius X Church, Rochester Public Schools, and was a heavily involved leader for the Country Club Crusaders 4-H club for many years. She later joined Dison's Cleaners as a seamstress until her retirement.

Jackie enjoyed growing many vegetables in their extensive garden. She was a talented seamstress and expertly taught others to sew and gifted many others with her creations. Her other crafting hobbies were numerous including needlepoint, embroidery, cross-stitch, crochet, stamping, scrap booking, card making…she always had many works in progress. Jackie savored travel. The family frequently camped, and later, Jackie and Lotus hit the open road in their RV. Together, they spent several years volunteering as campground hosts at Chester Woods Park. Once widowed, Jackie ventured on to winters in Arizona with her new camping tribe.

Jackie was generous with her time and talents; she abundantly shared with anyone in need of anything. Above all, our beloved Jackie cherished her family; she loved them all fiercely and valued praying, playing, sharing a meal, games and fun with all of them above all else.

She is survived by her daughter Carla (Eric) Anderson and son Paul Conrad all of Rochester, Grandsons Logan (Anna) Anderson of Clear Lake, IA and Connor Anderson of Kittery, ME, and Great Grandson Corbin Anderson, an uncle Mark Hietpas of Little Chute, WI, sister-in-law Irene Conrad of Santa Barbara, CA, brother-in-law Don Schlude of Winter Haven, FL and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ethel, husband Lotus, identical twin sister Jane Schlude and many other loved ones.

Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Thursday, September 12 ^th , 2024, at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Starasinich officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm Wednesday, September 11 ^th in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
