Jack A. Scaccio, age 35, of Rochester, Minnesota passed away early Thursday morning (July 25th, 2013) in a motorcycle accident. He was the beloved husband of Melissa (Korger) Scaccio originally of Augusta, Wisconsin. Jack was born on June 26th, 1978 to Joseph Scaccio (Vero Beach, FL) and the late Wanda Burdick in Chicago, Illinois. The family moved to La Crosse, Wisconsin in 1982. Jack resided there until 2006 when he moved with his wife and children to Rochester, Minnesota. Jack loved to landscape, garden, cook, and do home improvement projects (rarely finished). He was a huge fan of the Chicago Bears to the chagrin of his friends. He loved his children, family, and friends. He could be found at the grill in the backyard almost every weekend or throwing bean bags. He loved playing Buck Hunter along with playing poker, throwing darts, and playing pool in his garage. Above all, he loved to ride his motorcycle. He passed doing the thing he loved most. Jack was proceeded in death by his mother, Wanda, who lost a long battle with cancer in 2010. Jack is survived by his wife Melissa (32), his 6 children, Antonio (17), Riley (13), Owen (11), Victoria (8), Olivia (7) and Lalie (5). Also his brothers Joseph (Jenny), Frank Meyer, and sisters Shannon (Arley Foster) and Starr (Norman Vuchetich). The visitation for Jack will be held at Macken Funeral Home River Park Chapel, Monday, July 29th from 5-8pm and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. There will also be a rosary service at the River Park Chapel Macken Funeral Home on Tuesday at 7:30pm. The Funeral Service will be at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic church at 10:30am Tuesday, July 30th with the Rev. Mark C. McNea officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery and lunch in the church basement will follow the committal service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation would be appreciated.
