Irene Esther Wojchik, 97, of Rochester, died Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home on Eighth.

Irene was born February 12, 1920 in Arcadia, WI to Albert and Mary (Korpal) Woychik.

Irene Woychik married Leo Peter Wojchik on September 30, 1977 in Rochester, MN. She retired from Marquette Bank in May of 1982. Irene was an active member of the Auxiliary at St. Marys Hospital and a member of St. Pius Church where she volunteered within the church.

Survivors include her husband, Leo; son, Harold (Janice) Giemza of Arcadia, WI; daughter, Jody (David) Bahr of Cannon Falls, MN; stepson, David (Paulette) Wojchik of Rochester, MN; two brothers, Leroy (Faith) Woychik of Winona, MN, and Albert (Luane) Woychik of Arcadia, WI; three sisters, Bernice Sonsalla of Winona, MN, Marian Erickson of Orland Park, IL, and Kathleen Soprani of Deerfield, IL and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary Woychik; siblings, George, Edward, Angeline, and Ruth Ann; and granddaughter, Julie.

Memorial Mass for Irene E. Wojchik will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, August 25, 2017 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rochester, Minnesota with Rev. Russell Scepaniak officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at a later date.
