Gloria Bon Etta Canfield, 87, of Rochester, MN, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Gloria was born near Whalan, MN, to Harley and Milda Olson. She moved to Rochester and started working as a secretary for The Mayo Clinic. On December 16, 1960, she married the love of her life, Charles (Chuck) Canfield at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They were married for 56 years, until the death of her husband, Chuck.

She is survived by two daughters; Alison (Howie) Markham, Michele (Tim) Nelson, two sons; Marty (Beth) Canfield, and Jason (Tiffany) Canfield; many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Gloria is also survived by her sister, Bobbie and her brother, Larry.

Gloria and Chuck owned and operated Shakey's Pizza for 35 years. Gloria also owned and operated an A&W restaurant with her sister, Bobbie.

Gloria loved the bluff country of her hometown, traveling, golfing, and antiquing. She enjoyed being a board member of the Friends of Mayowood.

Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2026 with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 5500 25th Ave. NW, Rochester, MN. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Friends of Mayowood.
