Obituary for Glenn C. "Larry" Larrison
The funeral for Glenn C. "Larry" Larrison, of Rochester, former owner of Larson Siding will be 11:00AM Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester with the Rev. Norman Wahl officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Larrison, age 77, died at his home Friday evening (November 6, 2009) of natural causes.
He was born February 24, 1932 in Centralia, Kansas. Upon graduation from high school he served in the Navy during the Korean War. He married Beverly Drugge March 28, 1953 in Minneapolis. Mr. Larrison was the founder of Larson Siding. Prior to that he owned and operated Commercial Carpet and White Sewing Center. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, VFW, the Rochester Masonic Lodge, # 21 and also Rochester Scottish Rite Bodies where he was a 32nd degree Mason. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Beverly, two sons Daniel, David (Crystal) and one daughter, Cynthia Larrison, all of Rochester; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold (Glenda) Larrison of Kansas, and Bob (Charlene) Larrison of Rochester, and one sister, Gladys (Mike) Larrison. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00PM on Wednesday, November 11 th and also one hour prior to the service at Bethel Lutheran Church on Thursday. Memorials are suggested to Caring Partners at the Salvation Army. Macken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.MackenFuneralHome.com
