Giudetta S. "Judy" Collins, 93, of Rochester, MN died May 6, 2021 at Madonna Towers' Skilled Nursing Facility.

Judy was born January 22, 1928 in Rochester, MN to James T. and Guiditha (Scaglia) Spillane. She graduated from Rochester High School, the University of Minnesota and the Chamberlain School of Retailing in Boston, MA. Following graduation, Judy worked as a bridal consultant for Neiman Marcus in Dallas, TX.

On November 10, 1956, Judy married Basil Collins at St. John's Catholic Church in Rochester, MN. The couple lived in Dublin, Ireland, until 1972, when Judy returned to Rochester.

She retired in 1991 from the Mayo Clinic as an Assistant Desk Supervisor in Thoracic Medicine.

Judy loved travel, historical biographies and classical music.  She volunteered for Olmsted County as a guardian ad litem and in the jail library.  She was active in the Valhalla Condominium Association. In Dublin, Judy supported the Irish Georgian Society, The Gate Theatre and the Abbey Theatre.

She is survived by her daughter, Marsha, of Malibu, CA.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Rochester immediately following the service.
