The funeral mass for Gerald "Jerry" Wrubel will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 7, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Rochester with Rev. Kevin Connolly officiating.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 6, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Macken Funeral Home River Park Chapel in Rochester and for one half hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.  A Masonic ceremony will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Jerry died November 2 ^nd at his home following a ten year battle with cancer.

Jerry was born June 28, 1938, in Minneapolis to Louis and Mary (Zappa) Wrubel.  He was a member of the National Guard from 1958 until 1961.  He married Shirley Carter on September 14, 1957.  Together, they owned Rochester Homes, Inc., from 1966 until 2003.  Jerry was a member of the Rochester Masonic Lodge 21; the Valley of Rochester Scottish rite; and the Ozmun Shrine where he was active in the Zaglas Car Club and the Royal Order of Jesters.   He also held memberships with the Elks, Eagles and Knights of Columbus.    Together with his family and friends, Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, and antique cars.  He especially enjoyed time at the family cabin.

Jerry is survived by his wife; three sons, John (Julie) of Chatfield, and Mark and Patrick of Rochester; six grandchildren, Matthew (Kelli) Wrubel, Tiffany (Jason) Peterson, Angela (Mark) Ryan, Luke (Natasha) Wrubel, and Justin and Cody Wrubel; and eleven great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Eagles Cancer Telethon.
