Georgia Lynn Jensen, 74, of Rochester MN, died peacefully in her home August 27, 2024.
Georgia was born August 31, 1949, in Raleigh, North Carolina to George and Malinda (Sigmon) Young. She graduated from High School in Poughkeepsie NY in 1966. She married Daryl E. Jensen in the Excalibur Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada in 1990 joining two families as one. She worked as a Phlebotomist at St Marys Hospital for 30+ years.
Georgia loved playing softball in the summers as a younger woman, taking vacations to Mexico, enjoying her porch swing in the backyard, garage sale-ing, and later in life raising her grandson, Christopher. She was full of Life and was always looking for something fun to do. She even tried BMX at the age of 50. She was loved by so many for her spunky personality. She loved collecting jewelry and was always known for her wild and colorful fashion sense. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolynn Nelson, Katherine Laack; stepdaughter Ann Jensen (Jimmy); son Robert Laack (Jenni) and stepson Evan Jensen (Stephanie); grandchildren, Elizabeth Delima, Abby Nelson, Austin Nelson, Christopher Marshall, Ace Laack, Sawyer Young, Griffyn Young, and Bekett Young; and one great granddaughter, Emery Thome; nephews, David (Connie) Young and Doug Young (Jen).
She is proceeded in death by her parents and brother Dan Young (Denise).
Memorial Service and Celebration of Life for Georgia will be held Friday September 6th, 2024, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home from 4-7pm.
