The visitation for George A. "Neen" Jones will be held Thursday, August 18, 2016 in River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis on Friday, August 19, 2016.

Mr. Jones, 71 of Rochester, MN, died Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Golden Living Center in St. Charles, MN. George was born August 6, 1945 in Rochester to George C. and Lola A. Myers Jones.

George graduated from John Marshall High School and after one year at Rochester Community College he enlisted in the US Army and served in the Vietnam War. George suffered a severe injury while serving in the war. George worked for O.A. Stocke & Company in Rochester as a timekeeper for many years.

Survivors include his two brothers, Richard (Bonnie) of Rochester and Keith K.C. (Julie) of Bettendorf, Iowa, and one sister, Susan (Randall) Tointon of Rochester. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Terry.

The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Living Whitewater for their care and patience with George while he was sick.
