The funeral Mass for Genevieve Nellie Toogood will be at 11:00AM Friday, April 4, 2014 at St. Pius X Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul Nelson officiating.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Rochester.

Gennie, 91, of Rochester, died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Seasons Hospice.

She was born July 5, 1922 to Leo and Amanda Klubertanz in Spring Valley, MN.  On October 29, 1947 she married John "Jack" Toogood, who is a retired Rochester Fire Department employee at St. John's Catholic Church in Rochester.  Following their marriage, she continued to work for Waters Conley, later Waters Instruments where she had started in 1940, retiring in 1983.

She is survived by her husband Jack; 3 children, Gloria (Steve) Carroll of Sutherland, Iowa, Marvin (Sandy) Toogood and Michael (Marilyn) Toogood both of Rochester; also 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by an infant son, 4 brothers, 1 sister and 2 grandchildren.  She enjoyed cooking, traveling, reading and especially being with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM – 8:00PM Thursday, April 3, 2014 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Friday.

Memorials are suggested to Season Hospice, Rochester.
