Gayle Ann Eastman, 72, of Rochester, MN, died Thursday October 3, 2013 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester.

Visitation will be held in the River Park Chapel at Macken funeral home on Sunday October 6 from 2:00-4:00 and a Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Gayle was born on July 8, 1941 in Rochester MN to Valdemar and Lillian (Benson) Samuelson.  She graduated from Hayfield High School in 1959 and attended Mankato State College. She married Philip Eastman in 1964 and the couple lived in Rochester.

Mrs. Eastman worked at Mayo Medical Laboratories where she became a supervisor and retired after 15 years.

Gayle was a talented knitter and especially enjoyed riding in her convertible automobile.

Survivors include her husband Phil, her daughter Deborah of Old Lyme, CT, and three grandchildren, Ariadne, Shane and Zoe.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Darrell Samuelson.
