Floyd B. "Pete" Janet, 81, of Rochester, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at his home of bladder cancer.

Mr. Janet was born in Rochester on February 3, 1928.  He married Marvena Prilipp on September 3, 1960 in New Hampton Iowa.

Mr. Janet was a life-long resident of Rochester.  He was a drapery installer.  His wife is retired from International Transport and the Mayo Clinic.

He is survived by his wife, Marvena, 2 daughters; Sandra MacNicoll of Gardena CA and Sharon (Michael) Nomura of Rosemead CA, 2 sons; Steven (Lori) Janet of Chatfield and Thomas Janet of Rochester and 10 grandchildren.  He is also survived by one brother, Jerome (Jo-lurene) Janet of Rochester

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sister.

Mr. Janet was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.

His body was donated for study to Mayo Clinic.

A memorial service will be at 10:30AM Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Resurrection Catholic Church, with Rev.
