Evelyn Josephine Olson was born April 25, 1922 to Ole and Josephine Olson in Millville, Mn. Evelyn went to be with her lord on July 12, 2018. Evelyn was the second of four daughters. The family moved to Eyota, in 1930, when she was six years old. She attended the school at Eyota and graduated in 1941. There were 21 in her graduating class and she was the last surviving member of her graduating class. She married Richard Curtin on June 8, 1947 and lived in Waterloo, Iowa for a year then returned to Eyota where they began their family. Evelyn retired from the Kahler Hotel after 36 years. She is survived by her son, Dale (Leigh Ann); daughter, Sylvia Ahlgren (Daryl); six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren and sister, Marion Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters, Helen Pries and Florence Alberts.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Pastor Woody Roland officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Eyota, Minnesota.
