The Memorial Mass for Eugene Ray Lingk, 74 of Rochester will be at 10:30AM Monday, November 29, 2010 at the Church of the Resurrection in Rochester, with Rev. Kevin Connolly officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass on Monday morning.  Burial will be in Beach, North Dakota on December 11, 2010.

Gene Lingk died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 of natural causes in his home at Fontaine Towers in Rochester.  Eugene Ray Lingk was born on July 24, 1936 in Beach, North Dakota to Ray and Margaret (Walters) Lingk, where he grew up on the family farm.  Gene married Dorothy Nellermoe on February 5, 1955 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Beach, North Dakota and were later divorced.  Gene, wife and daughters relocated to Rochester in 1968 where he became a manager at Hanny's.  Gene had many hobbies and interests, including ham radio operator, archeology and billiards.  His dinosaur excavation was a major contribution to the field of Archeology.

Gene is survived by his one daughter, Cheryl (Mark) Kieffer of Rochester; sister, Eleanor (Vince) Nistler of Beach, North Dakota; sister-in-law, Christine Lingk of Rochester; son-in-law, Lee Gerads of Rochester; grandchildren, Jesse Kieffer, Joshua Gerads, Isaac (Christina) Kieffer, Jacob (Kelli) Gerads and Michael Gerads; and long-time friend, Lela Dillehay.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlene Gerads, mother, father and brother, Leo Lingk.
