Enzo Schinigoi, 85, died peacefully on September 20, 2017 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester, MN.

Enzo was born in Pola, Italy on December 4, 1931 to Federico and Paolina (Faraguna) Schinigoi. He moved to Duluth, MN in 1951 after becoming a displaced citizen following the end of World War II.

Enzo married Delores "Tudy" Wiita in Duluth on Jan 5, 1957.  He served in the US Army until his discharge in 1958. He studied auto mechanics at Dunwoody in Minneapolis, after which he worked in St. Paul for the US Postal Service. He later transferred to Rochester and became the VOMA for the Rochester Post Office motor pool until May 11, 1990 when he suffered a major stroke.

Enzo loved to travel. He was able to visit Italy in 1985. Even after his stroke, he continued to travel throughout the United States. He, his wife Tudy, and much of their family traveled to Las Vegas for both their 50th and 60 th wedding anniversaries. He enjoyed speaking and singing Italian to all of his grandkids and great-grandkids. Enzo will be remembered for always having a story or a joke for anyone who would listen.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Umberto, Guido and Manlio. He is survived by his wife, Delores of 60 years; along with his children, Mary (Randy) Mosser, Richard (Pamela) Schinigoi, Sue (Mike)Vreeman, James (Elizabeth) Schinigoi, and Mark (Sammy) Schinigoi; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Franko (Bonnie) Schinigoi; sisters, Anita (Edwin) Wiita and Maria Butterfass; along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23rd in River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Rev. Shawn Haremza officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in River Park Chapel. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.
