Elizabeth "Betty" (Bolstad) Talmo, age 99 of Bloomington, MN, previously of Rochester, MN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2024.

Elizabeth "Betty" was born on May 27, 1925 in Dawson, MN to Selfred and Louise (Mecklenberg) Bolstad. She attended Dawson High School and then graduated from the Kahler School of Nursing in 1946, where she

was one of 407 Cadet Nurses. On May 16, 1948, Betty married Nels Talmo, Jr. in Dawson, MN. They lived in Denver, CO from 1949-1954, when they moved to Rochester, where Betty worked as a nurse and raised her family.

Betty devoted her life to her family, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nels, parents, brother and sister.

She is survived by sons, Tom (Lisa), Peter (Jacqui), Dan (Lily), Greg (Stephanie), daughter, Kathy (Dan) Engstrom, along with 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

A family Celebration of Life will be held on Betty's 100th birthday in May. Private burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.

Memorials are preferred to Kahler School of Nursing Alumni Association and Park Nicollet Hospice.
